DIGITIZING
Embroidery machines cannot understand the usual graphic file formats (.jpg, .gif, .bmp, .tif, .cdr, .ai, etc.) to convert them into stitches.

Before your design can be embroidered onto a garment, it must be digitized, or set up so the embroidery machine can understand how to stitch it. This process uses special software to create the logo or design into a “stitch file” which gives the machine the instructions it needs for embroidery, such as stitch length, stitch type and where to place them, and where to change colors.

However, we can use the standard graphic formats as the basis to begin digitizing your design. We accept camera-ready artwork and digital artwork by disk or email. Vector and high resolution tif images are preferred.

TO SEND YOUR IMAGES BY EMAIL OR DISK:
Vector images (.cdr, .ai, etc.) – Active fonts should be converted to curves, outlines,
or paths.

Raster images (.jpg, .tif, .gif, .bmp, etc.) – As large as possible, preferably 300 dpi.

There is an extra charge for design digitizing, based on the size and complexity of the final design. Left chest or cap designs usually cost between $40-75, depending upon the artwork.
